???

You have the HK system?
Others complain about too much bass with the HK upgraded system!

Due to the strong integration of the HK, your only choice is to pick up the speaker signals coming out of the HK amp on their way to the rear speakers. You could then use line level converters to feed into an aftermarket amp and then drive a sub.

Here's someone who did much more than that:

Yes I know the HK has alot of bass already. But me and my wife are Younger i'm 25 she is 22. We are bass heads. I'm thinking she is just looking for a little more. So I think the stealthbox with a nice phoenix gold amp will work perfectly. Do you know which wires i Need to tap??

I just finished the install of an aftermarket sub with the H/K. When I installed mine, I had 3 goals:
1. No cutting or altering the H/K system, including wires.
2. No removal of side panels or rear seats (too much of a PIMA)
3. No drilling holes or altering body parts. (on me or Claire)

You for sure are going to need line-level converters to tap into the rear woofer feeds. (don't use the high level inputs of the amp if they have them). If you have a MCS then the battery is right there in the boot (else you may have to dig a hole through the heat shield from the front of the car, but don't quote me on that).

I should be finishing the writeup of my install process tonight and will post it on my site, if you are interested.

Just finished the write up and installation process I took for installing an aftermarket sub with the H/K system in a MCS.
