Navigation features

Ok, so I updated my Nav to v26. Maps look amazing compared to v25. I noticed there are quite a few greyed out selections in some of the menus. I assume it's stuff we don't have here in the US but they have in say the UK. What are the differences between the US Nav and the everyone else?

Also, why did the upgrade make my maps look awesome, but the menus and OBC still look like crap.

There is really only one difference and that is TMC (Traffic Message Channel). TMC broadcasts road reports (construction, accidents, traffic jams) in which the radio recieves and then pumps to the NAV to put an icon on the screen to alert you. This way you can plan an alternative route. In the US, this is not available yet (I have heard plans that clear channel is playing to implementing it) but in Europe it is. The sad part is that I have a US Spec car here in Germany and the radio that we recieve is not capable to getting the signal. So, I don't get TMC. :( If I can find a CD Boost (Siemans VDO model), I plan on swapping them to see if I can get it working.
