I have a pure silver mini on order and only have a few days to make changes. I am intreaged with the silk green, but the tint looks different in all the pics I've seen. Does anyone have a pic taken in good light? Does anyone have one who lives close to Kansas? This is the first new car I've bought in 25 years and I don't want to make a mistake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't seen a silk green one in person, but my MC is the pure silver.

I was wondering to myself the other day what color I would have gotten if I had not chosen the silver... sometimes I think the more unique colors, like pepper white and silk green might have a bit more personality to them. Although, having said that, I wouldn't trade my pure silver one. Silver may be fairly common as a car color, but it looks darn good on the Mini Cooper!

fairmont, I had the same concerns about the silk green's actual appearance. Not sure if the link will work, but here's the thread I started on the topic on the Roadfly boards. The responses show several pictures taken in several different lights, and while I don't think any of them really captured the true look of this color, they, along with comments from those who'd seen it in person, reassured me that I was making the right choice. Aside from just plain liking the silk green, I really want my MINI to be an original, and I like the fact that this color won't be available on future models.

Hey i ordered the Silk Green with blacck top Dealer said everyone was getting BRG and of the colors she thought looked the best was the silk green and black top. I Definetly looks sharp pretty classy. I got the Aero Kit and Stripes and wonder how that wll look with the Silk Green just worried it may not look right being thats a pretty classic color

Silk green with black? That has two possibilites... It will either look awsome, or be a total failure! If all goes to hell, have your dealer paint a flag on it!
