After tax, title, doc, and insurance, it ended up being about 27 grand! I wonder where the $19,850 went

$21,650 for a loaded model. All MSRP + $1400 in dealer extras. At least I got something (cd changer, lojack) for the extra. Beats paying a straight markup.

Deal isn't finished until the car is delivered, but should be MSRP plus $595 "Mini Motoring Package" added by the dealership.

$24,800 for my fully loaded (minus Nav and parking beeper) MCS. In other words, MSRP - looks like it'll be $550 less as the HK stereo doesn't look like it'll happen. I should also note that I didn't get my car yet - heck - it's not even built yet. But MSRP is supposedly the deal.

Think about it.... My car ended up costing $24,220. Add to that $1,211 for tax, $1,200 for insurance, and about 600 for registration, and you're left with just over $27,000!

I paid about $26,000 out the door - that's with CVT, Leather, Premium pkg, floor mats, all at MSRP. No Dealer add-ons, No extra mark-up. I bought an extended warranty, very reasonbly, & that's the only extra.

At Baron MINI , KC I paid sticker plus $937 dealer pack consisting of Exhaust Tip, (didn't get teh factory unit), Floor Mats, Cargo organiser and 6 CD Changer

Plus $97 Documentation Fee - my pet peeve . You haven't sold the car til you sign the Title or MCO so why do all the big boys charge for it? Otta be against the law!

Total was $19,544 plus Sales Tax.

Bought mine used from a Ford dealer, 2,500 miles on it. Someone had actually traded it in on a Ford pickup soon after they got it. (Me, on the other hand, went to the dealer to buy a Ford pick-up and got a Mini instead.) I paid $25,800, fairly loaded. I've estimated that it MSRP'd at $25,600 new. I may have gotten ripped off but I don't care-I love this car! So much in fact that my 1998 Corvette Convertible is currently up for sale on eBay-the Mini wants it's space in the garage!

$26,000 seems high for a Cooper when my loaded MCS WITH TAX and fees is $26k.

WOW! What a rip for $595! The weather guard is bogus, the key chains are what - $15-20 each? Gas? Give me a break! Floor Mats might be worth close to $100 - that's about it...What a shame....but hey - compared to what's out there, $595 ain't too bad.

Now that's a pretty good deal! I wouldn't want to pay for anything I didn't WANT to add or was FORCED to add, but $937 for all that? My dealer wants $800 JUST for the 6-CD changer! I told him no thanks!

he'll have to pay tax when he brings it over though... He'll also have to fix the seat belts, and head-lamps to comply with U.S. standards.

I am paying about $22K with tax and tags and everything for my Cooper, but I also got a CVT and some other stuff added so that tacked on a few bucks!

my total came out to be $23,250 for my cooper S. They included a $2500 "markup" but it included tax and liscencing fees so the actual markup was probably around $600. I can't wait to get it.

Mine is US Spec. Since I will have it for over a year before I go back to the states, most places I might go to will not charge taxes.
