Quick pics of Tein S-Techs on 05 MCS

Hi,

Here are a few before and after shots of my 05 with freshly installed S-Tech springs. I'm running 16x7 Rota Grids with 205/50/16 ES100's for your reference. I'm guessing a little more than an inch drop from these springs.

I have not had a chance to drive it much so I'll post back with impressions later this week.

I guess its due to the size of your wheels that the drop doesn't look like much. On my MCS with the 1" drop from the H-sport and 17" wheels the drop was more drastic and instantly noticable.

Looks good! Don't forget the springs will settle a little too. You should be able to see the real drop by the end of the week. You should post more pics then. Do you have a sunroof?

The Tein instructions insist there won't be settling.....I have doubts about that. The ride is not bad at all. It's too rainy to push it yet

No sunroof. I'm 6'5" and wanted the extra headroom.

Not if they're decent quality.

progressive rate springs will settle, especially these
lower/mid 200lbs/in springs. just watch.
but since he doesn't have a sunroof, maybe not as
much as others with the sunroof.

(settling and sagging are not the same thing)

Looks really good to me, and please post more impressions on the ride - I just got my '06 MC, and I'm really conflicted about whether & which springs to go with . . . I've got the standard "sport" susp. and really like the ride quality, but would like it just a little more "buttoned down" for handling, and about 1 in. for looks - can't decide between the Hsports (perf. drop but I'm wondering about ride) vs. the M7s (best ride but maybe more drop than I want) Just started reading about the teins -

I installed mine last Saturday. Tein S-Techs on a 05MCS with no sunroof. I will confirm that they DO infact settle in abit. its definitly alittle lower than the first day i installed them after driving it for about 3 days now.

the ride is over all very good for just a spring change, it handles very flat and keeps the body roll to a minimum, tho over larger bumps it gets alittle bouncy. It definitly improved the accel "squat" in the rear, and the steering response of the car. All in all I like them alot, very good price and it improved the fun factor of the car alot ^_^

only complaint: the car is definitly lookin for abit more dampening from the struts. but thats to be expected with the stock struts.
