Sunroof Graphic...

So i've been talking about getting a sunroof graphic for a LONG time now... since i kept putting it off because i couldn't figure out what i wanted... i decided i know what i want to put on there, but then i couldn't figure out which picture. I decided on Lenore... but then i realized the poem by Edgar Allan Poe called "Lenore" was much an inspriation for her character. So i pulled up the poem, chopped it down some, and changed the image i wanted to use to better fit the poem. I decided to put the poem in the back ground of the picture, and here's the outcome...

Any thoughts/suggestions? I just threw that together in the boring paint program... i'll clean it up resize it etc in photoshop at home... but i'm a pretty indecisive person, that's why i'm asking on opinions I made the background black so maybe i can get the words and picture on clear to put on the roof? Now i'll have to decide where to get the graphic made... Help, anyone?

I think that would be cool on the sunroof. Talk to mike at Aesthetic Creations he did a good job on the custom roofs I have seen of his.

I think you should go for it. Individualized MINIs are great

Try a white background to match the rest of your roof, and outline your center "raven" in black to make it stand out. Rember there will be a space between the two roof panels. I am really happy with my Cooper Flags sun roof cover, it is two years old and is still looking great. They are great to deal with on special projects.

Lenore as in the Raven?

Now if the car was purple and you lived near us it would be an unbelievably subtle reference to the Ravens!

Nice idea SB

Quick Question

Not be a stick in the mud, but I do believe that character is copyrighted by the artist? Just my thoughts. Personally I loved the character when she was used in the title bar of a now defunct web log. Blog owner did give credit to the artist. Then again, what do I know, I'm just a sysadmin for a living, my wife has the art degree.

So are you thinking of solid or perforated?
I'm thinking of a sunroof graphic, too, but can't decide which way to go. I'm not worried about the longevity that much, I don't mind if I have to replace it in a year or so. I'm just wondering if the perf graphic will "look" perforated.
I'd like to keep the ability to see out of the sunroof, I like the open feeling, especially for the back seat, but don't want to compromise the look of the design. Does that make any sense?

I have wondered about copyrights too (and it has been discussed a bit on here somewhere).. You see Disney characters, Mr. Bean, Star Wars, etc... on MINIs. I doubt anyone would get upset as long as it is just an image for personal use-not something that anyone is trying to sell or make money on or present as their own work?

Perf Stock

My UNION JACK sun roof cover is done on perf stock, lets in light and filters it nicely. Perf is the way to go.

1. I love the way the sunroof looks on the white top. Call me crazy, but i think the black rectangle in the middle of the white looks sweet... so i'd like to keep the black (or clear) background

2. I was wondering about copyrights myself.. thats why i was a little hesitant. But as stated before, there have been alot of people using copyrighted images... so who knows.

3. I want perforated. I love my sunroof view

i agree! i love the black of my sunroof on my LY/W cooper.

i wouldn't worry about copyright. it's not like you are selling the image or making money from the use of the image... and only people slightly taller than your mini will see it.

let the sun shine through!
