Little Problem with my New MINI

My rear windshield wiper doesn't operate in the first position clockwise (intermittent, no spray). It works in both the second clockwise and first counter clockwise (same function, spray with five passes). I live 250 miles from dealer so I can't visit for such a small issue. I did call but the tech said I needed to bring the car in for them to diagnose.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Vlado

Does it work when you push it the other way to wash the windshield?

I noticed that in the intermittent position it doesn't move very often either - maybe once every minute or so at the most while I'm driving, and not at all when sitting still (that I've noticed)

my 03 swipes 3-4 times quickly, then goes into intermittent mode at the
first twist click.

Yep, I ran out and checked (since it's raining). When you first turn on intermittent, it should swipe a few times, and then every so often there after depending on speed.

Doesn't seem to work....

regardless of speed or weather conditions. I don't have the rain sensors so I don't think that has anything to do with it. It works in the other two positions just fine. It won't even run at all in the fist click. I'm wondering if it might be a fuse????

maybe a fuse, but possibly more related to software or even a relay.
