Dejavu... all over again :)

Hello All,

I've been here .... since the beginning pretty much
I originally purchased a 2002 (May 2002 build) MCS

Been a MINI M.A. for bout 6 months now..what a gas....
Should have done this 2 years ago...when I was 1st gonna give it a whirl...but that's not what this story is about ........

I purchased a NEW....2006 MCS

It just landed in NJ Sat morn'n and I should get it delivered b4 Christmas.
I get to delivery my own MINI..how kool is that
DS w/ PS roof/mirror and new PS stripes.
PP/SP/CW packages.
2tone gray interior.

Spoke to Doug Whalen and sent off my Whalen Shift Machine...to get refitted from my 2002 to a 2006.

Spoke to Eric @Helix 13 and will have the following work done during the week between Christmas & NY'z
Pulley/software/intake/exhaust/rear sway bar/JCW injectors/springs./short shifter..so far.

Spoke to Phil @ grafik dezine... to get all the window tinting done and my D-MINI-ERO...logo's replaced on this new MCS.

Still think'n about whether or not to keep my 2000 M Coupe.... I'm torn to say the least. A decision will be made.....soon enough.

I'll post pic's when she arrives.

As I said at the top....
Dejavu... all over again

Peace,
D

Dennis-

Great to hear about your new job and your new car. I've been wondering what happened since we met at Lime Rock a while back. I've got a pic in my gallery of the gang taken at LR that day.

Must be a lot of fun being and MA, and especially doing your own delivery! Be sure you give your MA all 10's when you get a phone call during the follow up process.

I've also got an '06 on the way, probably won't see it until Feb or March. Looking forward to it.

Wow...so great that you're getting another MINI!! Curious how one handles all those frayed nerves and frantic queries when you're your own MA. Maybe it's easier this way???

Hey Dennis! welcome back( I met you at a pulley party in Hartford a couple of years ago when you first got the M).I never thought you'ld part with it!?
glad to have you back on the boards after so long. Pics of the new ride as soon as you can, Dark silver is the BEST color, oh yeah. So do you still sport the soul patch? Or was that strictly a beemer thing, LOL. Jock

Congrats Dennis! There is gonna be a night before NYE meet in NYC...you better be there with the new wheels! (PM me if you want the info). You know if the M Coupe wasn't stick my Mom would take it off your hands in a matter of seconds. Whenever her and my dad see you at OBI she always mentions how much she likes your car.
Good luck!

D,

Great to have you back in the MINI community as an owner again. I'm happy the job is working out. With your great enthusiasm for the MINI, you're a shoe-in as an MMA! Hoping you a very merry Christmas!

Happy Motorin'
Dominic

Dennis, congrats on the new car, and it's great to hear from you!

Which exhaust are you getting first?

Merry Christmas, D... It's nice to see you, and congrats on the new ride... Hope you get to keep the M too .

What a surprise you're an MA, (and getting to delivery your own car is pretty neat!) BTW, my service manager says MINI is a great company to work for.

WB,
Tatt

Easy about what? I wasn't jumping on anyone, merely pointing out that a detailed list of mods was in the original post. Please don't read anything into things that don't need it. No harsh words were used, no capital letters were used.

So if you're your own MA does that mean you were able to get it below MSRP?

That wouldn't be bad... However, I suspect it means you get to drive demos all the year 'round, and flirt with the nice "Financing Lady" during slow times... Yes, friends, I know where all the "loaners" are when they're not just waiting for me and my service appointment ...

Seriously, cool gig - that is, if you can survive what must be some truly harrowing "test drives",
Tatt
