Painted Toggle Switches?

Has anyone painted the MINI's toggle switches? I'm thinking it would be a good way to spruce up the interior.

Of course! Sand paper would be used.

No, but that would be interesting. I'm sure someone can come up with something to "slip" over the toggles. I'd be willing to pay for something like that!

There are chrome ones out there. Shouldn't be hard to make though.

That's a cool Idea. I should look into that. somthing like a silicone cover in different colors. Kind of like the silicone ipod covers.

I've panted my toggle rings silver and that part was easy they just pop right out of there.

How do you get the rings off? Just yank, or something more devious?

Yeh just pull kind of hard and they pop right off. If you paint them be carefull not to paint the clips at the bottom of the rings. They are already a real tight fit. I had a body shop paint them in the silver to match the dash.

Howabout dipping them in Plasti-Kote? It comes in several different colors. Might be a little bit too thick though.

If it's not to thick I guess it would work. Never herd of that stuff before .
I'm sure it would not cost that much for your local body shop to spray them when they do another car in that color.
