I went with 195's on my holeys for street use. 205 is a bit of a stretch for street use ( I do it for race use though). I went with 195/55-15 tires and love them, Toyo T1R's to be exact.

I got Kumhos for my MCSa but don't have enough miles on them to tell you anything except that they look really good (215/50-16) so I recommend the widest you can get on your wheel for the appearance. And Kumhos are supposed to be pretty good in the wet but HOW good I am unsure of. Doesn't help much, but there are not many responses to this question--maybe you should add something about cats jumping on your car.

Why do you say the the 205s are a stretch for street use?
They are only 10mm wider and keep almost the same running diameter. I'm sure for street use the extra weight of the tire would not be felt.
Just a thought

db,

195/55-15 should work with holey rims just fine. This size is meant to fit rims from 5.5-7" wide compared to 205/50-15 tires which are really meant for slightly wider rims than the 15x5.5" holeys. You can still mount them but it isn't easy for most shops unless they do performance tire installs.
You gain about one pound more for the wider tires and loose a little height on the tire diameter.

You might want to talk to Alex@tirerack about the Kumho Ecsta HP4 716
which appear to be in stock for the moment.

This is a Grand Touring All season tire. Only $56 each, 360 tread rating, A traction.

For more performance consider Kumho Ecsta ASX Ultra High Performance all Season for $70 each, 420 tread rating AA traction

Another option is Kumho Ecsta SPT (ultra High Performance Summer tire)
$67 each 340 tread wear and AA traction
http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AV5&url=/tires/tires.jsp&tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+SPT&partn um=955VR5KU31&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes &place=5
Note- not an all season tire.
