100k Presidents new ride

Well gang tonight I pickup my new MINI. Yea that's right. I'm giving my wife my cr/w 02 with over 135,000 miles.

I sold my truck to my neighbor and bought a dual axle dump trailer for hauling materials that I might need around the house. http://www.triplecrowntrailers.com/i...-dumpthumb.jpg We still have her 98 2 door 4 wheel drive tahoe that we will use to do the hauling. I plan on getting some recycled asphalt for my 400 foot driveway that is need of resurfacing over the lime stone that is there now. Plus soil for our gardens out in the back acre.

The new MINI is solid dark silver metallic with lapis blue leather, anthracite trim, chrome line exterior & interior, cockpit chrono pack, cruise control w multi function steering wheel, fog lamps, harman/kardon sound system and the limited slip differential.

I will switching parts off the 02 to the 05 like the sway bar and other go fast parts when I have the time.

Now all I need is a name for him. The 02 was Hot Stuff. What name would go for a Dark gray car?

Only you can choose a name for your car.

But lets see.... Dark Silver... Blue Leather.... hmmm... I would call it Fritz(y). (German soldier wore gray - with a little blue in there somewhere.)

Yea I know. Just can't think of one as yet. Might come to me after I pick it up. A friend of mine on SSM's site suggested Mayflower. What a jokester.

What about:

ACHTUNG (Caution)
SCHNELL (Fast)
GRAUBLAU (grey blue)
ZEITLOS (timeless)

Or in English more common:

SIZEABLE
GIANT
GIGANTIC
MICRO

Happy name hunting

H

I thought that was the Southern Uniform of the US Civil War?
So thus: NOYANKEE

Congrats on the new MINI, Doug! Awesome that wifey gets to keep the famous first 100K-Miler MINI! Very cool!

You'll know what to name him/her when you see the new baby!

Very exciting about the new MINI...sounds awesome! As much as it pains me to admit it....yes, a MINI (for many reasons) is not a good vehicle to haul asphalt. Hauling a** on asphalt maybe...but it's good you have an alternate vehicle for handling that heavy-duty type of "asphalt art".

Have fun w/ your new baby!!!

Sounds like you got a real nice MINI.
And the 02 can show it how to behave

Yayyy! Glad to hear you are keeping the 02' in the family... And a big Congrats on the new one. I hope it gives you just as much pleasure and as many miles....

If our Scooter hadn't committed suicide a few months back, we would be hitting 100K also right about now...
