Hey from Va Beach! Waiting for the big day..

Hey everyone!

I've really enjoyed reading the posts and will be looking forward to the day I can get my new Mini and post some actual pics and experiences here.

My order started processing on 6/20, I'll keep you all posted for shipment date comparisons.

What I ordered: Green convertable S with all the packages in an automatic. Interior will be beige leather with the chrome package. I've been holding off buying a mini until the automatic became available.

I plan to have the JCW installed. They're researching how far they can go since it is an auto. Besides the performance and sound, having the JC Works badges to show off can't hurt

I'll let you all know how that progesses also!

Hey Nvadrs! Congrats on the order and nice color combo choice! The MCSa is worth the wait.

Well, my BRG/MCSCa is waiting for a boat ride

Yesterday I spoke with the dealership service manager about the JCW package for the automatic. He talked it over with his techs, checked a few other sources and determined it can be done!!

I'll see if he'll let me take a few shots of the procedure, then I'll have something interesting to post!!

Update...

I'll be picking up my MCSCa tomorrow the 24th at 2:30  Which is really great considering I'll have my new convertable during the hottest week on record

Since it's an automatic, I made sure the dealership checked to make sure the ECU version is current.

I'll have pics later this week. I'll feel more like an "official" NAM member then!

When you get it, tell us about the sound please ... since, at least with a manual, the JCW exhaust is quieter than stock.

THANKS!

Chows4us: I'll be stock "S" for awhile. The JCW system holdup is the ECU upgrade for automatics. The dealership (salesrep) wants to "package" the full upgrade so I'll have to talk to the service manager on the side about doing the exhaust and intake seperately. You can count on a decent wav file upload then!

AprilWhine: Hi! I'd be happy to join! See you at the next activity.
