17" White wheels.. Exel TZ10 or TDR Pro Race 1?

well I recently picked up a set of used white superleggera and they turned out to be in one of the worst condition I've ever seen, so I'll be returning those and pick up a new set of white 17" wheels.
I already have the tires, waiting to be mounted.

Now I like the multi spoke wheels and I've narrowed down to two.
Exel TZ-10s or Team Dynamics Pro Race 1s..
Both have similar looks, and seem to weight more or less equal in 17lbs range.

Which one would you choose?
TZ-10s are about $150 cheaper for a set of 4 but I have zero experience with them. Anyone want to comment on their quailty?

I've been totally satisfied with the quality and value of the TZ-10's. They're also very pothole-resistant with their spoke-to-the-edge design.

The PR1's have a slightly smoother spoke shape, not as edgy. The paint finish on the PR1's is also slightly better, then again they're more expensive.

HTH!

Those 18" look super!!
I would have gone with the 18" TZ-10s but ther person who sold me the superleggeras totally screwed me and I already have 17" tires waiting to be mounted.

I have gun metal TZ-10's. The paint seems like it will chip easily but they were cheap and they are good wheels, at least so far.

I recently installed the 18 inch TZ-10s and found that the factory lug bolt WILL NOT work with these rims. I ordered Gorilla Tuner locking lug nuts and did the lug bolt/stud conversion at the same time. If you do not want to do the conversion you can get the locking lug bolts instead. As you can see the clearance between the lug nut and the wheel is very tight. If you need more info PM me.

I'll agree with everything that's been said here. I've got the TZ-10s in white, and for the price, I've been very happy with them.

There's also the SportMax 920's. Don't know if they are better or worse than the Exel TZ 10's but it's an option to consider.

It's also what I have settled on buying.

I've always loved the TDR Pro Race 1's, but those Exel's are really nice wheels.

Do 17" Exel TZ-10s fit with stock lug bolts? I'm just not ready to do a lugnut/stud conversion yet.

I use a "tuner bolt" on my TZ-10's. No the stock bolts will not work.

Gorilla "small diameter" bolts

The SportMax 920's are similar, however the spoke termination at the rim is different, as is the rim profile. Comes down to preference, of course.

Yes the 17x7" TZ-10's weigh-in about 16.5 lbs., and the 18x7.5" TZ-10's are about 19 lbs.
