I posted this in the So Cal forum since I know others have been searching for stripe installers in San Diego, but I thought I could show off my new CooperFlags center checker stripe here, too. I decided to start the stripe at the back of the hood scoop instead of down at the chrome grille surround because I wanted my MINI's face to be clean. Modern Image did the install, I took off my factory stripes myself (tools required: fingernail).

It looks great! Nice choice. Did you do the checkered stripes on the boot as well?

 

Wonder how the checkers on the roof would look like if they were pepper white instead of bright white? I'm just curious. Yours looks excellent as is!

Kellzir: I didn't get the checkers for the boot because with the license plate, the handle above it and the MINI badge there is very little room for the checkers, and I thought it looked a little strange.

Jaxmini: Yeah, the 2 different whites (pepper paint and pure white vinyl) isn't ideal. I didn't even think to see if there was a pepper white vinyl option. If I decide I really like it, maybe I'll have them painted on someday and have the color match exactly.

I think it would be cool to get a carbon fiber hood, paint it pepper white but leave the checkers as CF with just clearcoat over them.
