Infatuated With Mesh Wheels, Suggestions Wanted

I now, since I saw this pic, have an infatuation with mesh wheels. I know it's like the sixteenth wheel I have quote "loved" on these forums, but I really think this is the way to go. I think it's the look I have always wanted for my MINI. Like everything else about wheels I've started a thread on, there is just one problem: They don't make these wheels for MINIs. Kudos go to fj0 for starting this love afair! I would please like some suggestions as to what wheels similar to this style, or something I can do with this particular wheel.
My Requirements for other wheels:
Look Similar
Fit MINI

NO HUGE LIPS
(a Problem matter in the snowbelt)
^ NO HUGE BOLTS
> $2000 with Tires
Thanks
Mikey

Those do look good! I was calling them 'Y' spokes or 'V' spokes (not that I know)

Those look like 18s. I had some Fliks on my last MINI, they were the 17x7 Artic ones which were anthracite with a polished lip. They were good wheels, not too expensive, (considering I originally wanted BBS wheels which were like $340 each yikes) I think they were a pretty good value from edgeracing.com... but I dont know if even the wasps come in 18 and all silver -?

I know these are not MINIs, but since I just got out of Vdubs, here's some pics I took, maybe to give you some ideas and looks of different mesh wheels.

I'm partial to these light strong forged Volk SE37K's, but unfortunately,
they're about $400 each for 16x7 and $500 for 17x7.5

see the wheels next to my name. These are R88 wheels available at the dealer with MINI caps (10 "V" spokes). So far I am the only one I have ever seen in almost 3 years of ownership to have these wheels in combination with my DS/W color combo. I liked them from the first time I saw them and have never regreted the choice.JMO. Jock

For "mesh" style wheels, I have to suggest any of the BBS styles. I may be wrong, but I believe they were the first to use this spoke design.

These 17" BBS Rc's are nice and in your price range at $289 each from Tire Rack. They are cast with a forged rim and have a center cap to hide the unsightly bolts

Your price doubles for the fully forged wheels, but these RGR's are gorgeous, but they are over $550 each!

Mikey,

The wheels you pictured look very similar to the MINI R90 wheels (see wheels on MINIs in Italian Job) which I recently purchased. Very expensive but I lucked into a very good deal. These were the wheels I wanted from the time I first saw the movie but couldn't see paying the price ($485 ea. ). I was considering a wheel sold by the Tire Rack made by ASA. It looks very similar to the wheel in your picture and they're way cheaper than R90s ($179 ea.) Check them out. Good luck. I know well once you get an urge for wheels, it's a tough one to fight. I obviously gave in and bit the bullet but they look great!!!!

I think they'd look great on my Mini I do currently have 5 sets of wheels for the car, though, so I don't think I'll really be buying another set of wheels anytime soon

No, wait a minute...

Actually, they belong to BMW Financial. They just let me use them for a while.
