Christmas Run Part TWO (April 23rd)
[size=2]Christmas Run Part TWO April 23rd
If you missed the run back at Christmas or would like to take another run on those curvy roads, well here is your chance. On April 23rd I plan to do the run again. There will be about 30 more minutes of curvy roads added this time around. This will be a great chance to get ready for the Dragon run that is in May. If you are not going to the Dragon run please come and hang out anyway. We will be eating at the Same restaurant that we did at Christmas because so many of you loved it. We will meet at the Texaco on exit 299 at 2:00pm and leave from there at 2:30pm. Hope you can make it out. SEE you Then.
Note: Some of the roads are less than perfect but we will go slow on them
UPDATED ON 4-4-05
Change of Plans. I think it would be better if you are not coming to the meeting but are going on the run please just meet us at the park at 2:00pm. That way we can start the run there. And if the meeting runs long we are all there once we are done.
To get to the park you will take exit 304 (cullman/Good Hope exit). From bham you will go right off the exit. From hville you will have to turn left. Go three red lights and turn left. (This is right passed Woodland Medical center.) The parking for the park is on the right.

A good thing is always worth repeating. Will we have a videographer (Mr. Puckett and family members) for this ride as well? We will have more daylight for this one. Does the restrurant need to know how many to expect? Call your neighbors and them all to stay home and off the roads until after we pass.

Notes about the run!
Well April 23rd has turned out to be a very big day for the Mini's of Alabama.(or what ever you want to call us for now)
The run after the picnic will have a lot of Curves so you may want to think about that when you bring something for the Picnic. Glass bows may be a bad thing.
We are also going to have dinner at a restaurant at the end of the run, so don’t full up on lunch.

Change of plans: Bring snacks and something to drink. The meal of your choosing after the ride will be scrumptdeliciouseus(good). Hopefully everyone will bring some good ideas to the table also for the formation of "THE" club.
Those leaving from Birmingham should be ready to leave the Hobby Lobby parking lot at the Fieldstown Exit of I65N at 11:00 am to travel to Exit 304 in Cullman County. The directions to the park are in the previous post. Bring your cameras and two-way radios for happy motoring.

The met up point of everybody in the Huntsville area that is going on the run April 23 is the Shell Station in front of the Cracker Barrel on Wall-triana Hwy. We will met at around 10:45am and leave around 11:00am or so. If you come down I-565 toward Madison take the exit to Wall-Traina stand in the left lane go under the over pass loop it around you will be south on Wall_traina shell station on the right.
Kerry, how long will the ride be(an hour or two, give me a number) and when would we expect to sit down for supper. I realize with a large crowd it will take a little longer. SOme Folks are traveling up from Montgomery and need to know to get back to evening committments.

Sorry about the slow reply. I just now got home from work. The run is about about hour and half and 55 miles long but I think that is too long so I have shorten it down unless people decide they want the full thing. But we will eat at 5:pm or sooner. But I told the resturant 5pm but they will be ok with sooner. Hope that helps.
See you tommorrow.

Here is a quick 3 minute video I made from the run. http://saturncraze.com/videos/cr2run.wmv The smallest I could get it was 21mb without loosing quality. So if your on dial-up, start the download and go for a drive.

Yep did the (save as right click). I think the dial up is just to slow and If I remember win xp now with the lastest updates will save what you have download if the connects is lost. I have had this happen with other downloads and its no big deal. I will get on high speed at magic lady this weekend.

Nice video! Too bad I could only come to the picnic meeting and had to miss the fun drive!
Looking forward to seeing some of you at the Dragon!

Enjoyed the ride & meeting everyone
Looking forward to the next.
Thanks Harold, Andrew, & anyone else who helped, for getting the by-laws together. Hope we keep going forward (hot-n-heavy) with our plans for a state-wide club.
