REME @ Amviv2

Its seems like the 5-7 cars headed for Vegas from Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts are leaving at different times and on different days taking different routes.

We should all meet up on either Thursday night for dinner or a drink afterwards or maybe sometime on Saturday as a group if even briefly. If anyone has any ideas, please post them here.

Maybe as a group we could join the Sin City MINI Club having their pre kick-off "Motor In" at the In-N-Out just west of Palace Station on Sahara starting at about 7pm on Thursday night. Maybe we can get there 15-20 minutes early so that we could get some seats hehehe.

Remember to get your reservations in for the c3 official kickoff dinner to AMVIV2 for Friday night.

Yes to all the above. Come and join the SCMC at In-N-Out, and definately pre-register for Hofbrauhaus. You're running out of time for that (only 9 days left) but In-N-Out is just come and hang out.

Isn't Norcal is leaving Thursday morn early? ... I will be leaving Wednesday afternoon from Healdsburg around 2:30pm and drive down to Fresno for the night....(its almost 1/2 way for me). The Norcal group should reach us Thursday morning at 9am in Fresno after breakfast .... or if the group can reach Fresno by 8am, maybe we can fill up a diner somewhere.

Thursday Planning

I think everyone in our group with the exception of Amanda will be traveling together on Thursday. We will be meeting at Denny's in Fresno at around 8am for breakfast to be back on the road by about 9am. I think there should be around 10-12 cars total traveling to Vegas. We may join some more from Southern California around noon.

Set your 2-way radios on 17-7 if you want to communicate while traveling. There will be at least 3 cars with radar detectors so if you don't have one, you may not want to stray too far from the pack. It may be good to exchange cell phone numbers as well. Anyone interested, email me your number, and I will forward to any others also sending me their numbers. I won't email phone numbers to anyone except those sending me theirs....

Hiya, zied! Looking forward to meeting the NorCal/REME MINI folk! I think most MINIacs use 7:21 on their radios, though, so when you get to Vegas, you may want to switch channels.

In-n-Out is going to be swarming with MINIs on Thursday! YAY!!!

Clover, that's the idea.

Earl, In-N-Outs in Vegas are used to large numbers of people showing up in groups.

Might be a good idea to contact them and warn them though. Of course, it might only wind up being 20 cars, which is no big deal at all to them.

I had a lot of fun too! Will be back next year !! Ann said I had way too much fun without her, she coming next year.

Also want to thank Peter and Janet for sharing their time and themselves with me.
Janet, Ivy and I did get a little wet walking back to the cars from the Kick-off dinner friday night. Ivy was great, she found all deep puddles for us.

Looks like we're in for a good run on March 20, see you all then.

Keep Moving!!!
Keith
(you know, the classic guy)
