For those attending the MOTD, anybody have ideas how we could make the event better or more interesting for our club? Any idea how many M2C2ers are going?

For now, I and Mellotron are attending the welcome dinner, competing in the Chili Cook off (Two-Legged Chili class) and going on the midnight run.

 

We plan on arriving sometime Friday. If early enuf, we will do the "parade" and the Cades Cove loop. Also, planning on the Midnite Run.

 

I'm curious where the locals are staying, and when you're planning on arriving.

My car still isn't here, but I have the feeling that if I don't go ahead and make plans I'll end up without a room.

There is starting to be a caravan from the Asheville area or even Greenville.

I'm tentatively planning on motoring up on Saturday to arrive around 12 or 1 ish, drive the dragon slowly (figured I drove all the way there, I might as well), visiting with people during the activities , going to the Dinner, and motoring home..

 

I plan on following Trainman around.

 

Sierra and I will be heading up on Thursday with the group meeting up in Asheville. We're staying through Sunday.

Last year, we joined a small group of Sunshine MINIs. We did some motoring along the Cherohala Highway, had lunch along a river at an awesome bistro, and made our way back through the Dragon. If there's time, we may do this again

I'm hoping that someone plans another TSD rally. That was great!!!

I'm planning on taking the longest curvyest drive from Greenville on Friday AM, doing the parade, doing Cades Cove, then the midnight run on Sat. I figure it'll be three weeks before I get back in the car????????

 

The wife and I are heading up on Thursday. We are still undecided about the welcome dinner but since it is for a good cause we will probably attend. We will be staying in Waynesville at my father's place and head back over on Friday. We will leave on Saturday since Sunday is Mother's Day. My wife would never ride with me on the Dragon on my motocycle but she says she will ride it in the MINI but maybe in the backseat.

 

I think M2C2 members getting together and doing something as a club at the Dragon is a great idea!!!! I'm up for it. But since this will be my first Dragon, I'm not familiar with the area so I'll defer to other folks who know more about what will be going on. I'm up for whatever but I think it is a great idea.:smile: :smile:

Thanks Kevin. :smile: Someone is planning another touring rally for Friday after the parade again. I just didn't get it prepared in time for the web site. Look for the Chilhowee Mountain Double Cross to show up soon.

If we go, that's what we'll be doing... Maybe I can join your caravan trainman, depending on how you're getting up there.

 

So getting back to the original question posed by Roadadendron (is that spelled right ???), is anyboby willing to or interested in us getting together as a club at the Dragon and doing something? I think that was the original question anyway.

The officers are currently discussing the options we can do as a club. We'll let you know what we come up with when we come up with it.... Ok, that didn't come out right, but y'all know what I mean..
