Clutch

My 2019 Mini S convertible, with 43K, suddenly presented a clutch issue wherein the friction point is right at the floor; It became very difficult to shift into 1st and impossible to engage reverse.
Checked fluid and that was just fine. A day later everything returned to normal.
Has anybody experienced this or have any insight into a cause and likelihood of recurrence or future issues?

You could try bleeding the system. If that doesn't help the first thing to consider is the clutch slave and master cylinders.
