OEM NAV or Android 13 upgrade?

My current DD is a 2010 R55 JCW. It has the regular head unit. The display is starting to die and needs to be replaced. My mini never came with the NAV and so I am interested in converting to either the OEM NAV or the Android 13. I'm a Metrology Engineer by trade so digging into the particulars isn't much of an issue when it comes to doing the work. I do have questions however. I have read a lot on the subject, watched installation videos, etc... My brain is wired to have the ultimate outcome and that is due to my background.
I have already come in contact with people that flat out say this isn't possible. If that is your opinion Id rather not have it posted here as it just becomes an unnecessary distraction.

Those that have experienced owning both the OEM NAV and any of the Android units what is your opinion on which is the best of both systems or is there an even better system to use in place of the factory center gauge, stereo system, etc...?
If you liked the Android system which, how do you like it, and what would you have changed? Does it work with Apple?
What Android works best and where did you buy it?

Ive been thinking about this for some time now but just keep procrastinating. Recently my center gauge has begun to just lose digits and now I think its time to come to a decision. So im asking Q's and want to get it done by Spring of 26. Thanks everyone and appreciate all positive input.

Hello,

Here is all the info on MINI carpaly and andriod. We have a running post here. I would do the aftermarket Bremmen unless you like the OEM NAV style?
