In swapping window regulators, it looks like I made a mistake because there’s an issue with the motor I’m sure. With everything installed, the window doesn’t go up. The motor whines, but I’ve confirmed it does not have any torque pretty much. Ifwmpved the regulator and motor from regulator. In the picture, if i press the window switch, both the white base and the gears move, but if i pinch the gears even a little bit, nothing crazy, they stop moving while the white base keeps moving.
Is this fixable in some way or should I just get a new motor?
never tried it. are the parts available on realoem?
if not, allmagautoparts should have a used motor. I've had luck with them. make sure you get the matching motor. there are two different ones, as I've read
Late replying to this, but it's the armature coil at the center of the motor bit. You have to separate the housing at the two screws and carefully pull the armature out, clean off the copper surface until it's nice and shiny again, then reassemble.
