fault finding/ clutch issue

Hello everyone, my clutch pedal suddenly went soft and the car (2003 cooper manual) would not go into gear. I found the clutch cylinder had broken, replaced it, pressure bled but the still pedal felt the same and now after operating the pedal a lot..the replacement has also broken in the same way.

I can move the arm which operates the fork about 1 inch with my fingers with little resistance.

does it look like a clutch, fork issue or did i just muller the replacement cylinder when fitting it

Im rather attached to the car which is otherwise in good condition.

Thank you for any help or insight you can offer
