R50/53 Clutch Issue
Clutch Issue
I know clutch issues have been discussed before, but I'm hoping for some confirmation that I'm heading down the right path.
I bought a 2006 MCS earlier this year and I knew when I bought it there was a clutch issue. Basically, the clutch is not fully disengaging at the end of the pedal throw. It's hard to get into gear (1st or R) and shifting is tough if the RPM is over 3000. I can also tell by the fact that when sitting in neutral with the clutch fully depressed with foot of the brake, if you start to push shifter into first the car will start to creep forward.
So I started by bleeding the system with almost no improvement after, so I moved on to replacing the slave cylinder. That was a whole ordeal as both bolt broke off while trying to remove them and I ended up have to cut the old slave out and drill the bolts. Bleed that and saw a little improvement. I moved on to the master cylinder as that seems like the last option before pulling the transmission, and after bleeding that - see bleeding procedure I used below - I saw some good improvement, but still not 100%. The pedal feels soft at the start and the first few inches of pedal travel feel like nothing is really happening.
I used a combination of bleeding procedures I found from various other posts on here, but ultimately what I ended up with was this - using a pressure bleeder, I first compressed the slave and then bleed until bubbles stopped. I then let the slave out with the bleeder closed. Opened the bleeder again and slowly compressed the slave. Did this a few times until bubbles stopped. It seems like I got all the air out.
With all of this - Am I at the point where I need to pull the transmission and look for a back throw-out bearing or fork? Does the slave look like it's extended fully? Is there possibly still a pocket of air somewhere? Is it worth replacing hydraulic lines?

Video 2 is the pedal. where I stop in the begining is where I first feel much pressure. - https://photos.app.goo.gl/96M2SwfBJ3mqvCMQ9
Thank you in advance!
