F54 Keyfob and cargo doors
Keyfob and cargo doors
Greetings people of the internet!
On numerous occasions, Ive found cargo doors open after somehow accidetally activating keyfob in my pocket or when it gets bumped by an object. One time, both cardo doors had been left open for over 4 hours. Luckily, I live where theft doesnt exist, and my neibors notified me of the situation after they spotted it.
i am growing weary of this ...
Does anyone have any suggestions how to minimize accidental opening or cargo doors.?

I have had this happen with my 2024 Clubman too, but not recently. Once the doors opened on their own and the fob had nothing to do with it!
If this happens again, I will open up the fob and disable that switch.

There is a setting on the infotainment system, which prevents the keyfob from opening the club doors while the vehicle is locked. I highly recommend the setting.
On the infotainment system go to Vehicle Settings, Doors/Keys. The second option down should be the trunk button setting. Select the setting, and Choose the "Split doors open only when the vehicle has first been unlocked" option. Or, choose the Button Lock setting (I'm pretty sure that means that the button will never open the rear doors, even if the vehicle is unlocked first).
