Traction control off

2014 f56s
So much information about traction control but I only want to confirm ... I want it all off or as off as the car will let me. Do I just press and hold the toggle for 3-5 seconds to disable it and is there a visual indicator or a menu item I can look at that will confirm its off?

Follow up.

Pressing the button down for about 6 seconds disables traction control and you get a car with wavy lines on the speedo
and a message on my radio and to the right of the speedo.

When you turn off your car it all goes back to mini default and if you want it all off again you have to repeat the process of holding down the toggle for aprox 6 seconds.

Now ... Wondering about DSC cancellation and restart. If I give a single push to the toggle it turns off DSC and leaves you with DTC.

Does the mini turn DSC back on the next time you start it??

thank you
Alex

I know on my 2017 F54 it resets back to 'full on', so guessing it would put it back to DCS on.

Thank you so much... It really is like an airplane cockpit. I just coded to run full time Sport mode but if not .. get in .. flip on sport mode, flip off DSC, Flip drive into sport on the auto transmission, Talk to the tower after flipping the switches and turning dials.,Confirming with my wife that we are ready for take off

THEN driving out of the driveway. LOL
It is kinda fun though but I wish it would leave my settings alone

Oh please forgive me folks, but I just have to jump in here... ;-)

First, point of order please, "Dynamic Stability Control" is not abbreviated as DCS.

Secondly, I have the same startup drill in the cockpit (and have taught it to all of my autocross co-drivers over the years).

> Start Engine [Center Toggle]
> Sport Mode [Rightmost Toggle]
> Press & hold [Intervening Toggle] while speaking or thinking "One Alligator, Two Alligators, Three Alligators"
> Press the Primary **** on the Center Console to "OK" the warning that DSC is OFF.

I do not holler "Clear", or "Contact" however, during this drill.

Cheers,

Charlie

Try coding Bimmercode to stay in "sport" mode. As I remember, it stays off. Getting up my 300 ft driveway, on ice the past few winters, the wheels spin and I had to manually set it. On restart, it stays off.
