I bought these https://www.ecstuning.com/b-brembo-p...nt/p06097~brm/ and all my research suggests these are fine. They look the same size as the OEM pads that came out. I have only put on 60km, so barely anything, but they look like they are not hitting the entire surface of the brake rotor.
This happened before when I got pads for the rear from FCP Euro, they were certain the part was correct, but turns out it was for the prior gen with smaller brakes. I got new OEM ones and boom, the rears were fine.
Do I have the correct part? Do I need to put more kms (miles) on it?
Send me the pad number on the box or pad itself. I wonder if brembo sent us the smaller height pad.
Thanks
Mike
This is why I am confused, the part number is what was ordered on the box and I compared them to OEM--they are physically the same size, unless I am blind. Also, to be fair, I am in Canada and sourced them from a Canadian website—I did not get them from you but used your link to show the world so this is NOT a you problem at all
Ok no problem, i was trying to figure out is brembo messed up and boxed the wrong size pad or something, we are direct with them and i can solves issues that helps everyone out.
So was the shorter sweep area indicated caused by a light chamfer around the perimeter of the pad material or a function of the Geomet coating wearing off? It almost sounds like a slight chamfer that has now worn off and now the full pad outline is in play to me, but I don't have the BB setup on my '17. Can we see an 'after' pic now?? Just curious as to the pattern now, thanx.
