@ECSTuning sells a heavy duty strut mount.

I haven't tried them, but I can't imagine those would significantly impact the ride quality.

These cars ride stupid harsh from the factory, yes. Best things I did were to replace the run-flat tires with standard ones and install Koni FSD struts. Night-and-day difference: the car is still sporty but is MUCH more pleasant on harsh pavement.

Have FSDs....need to get rid of the runflats.

Would like to fit 16s instead of 17s....but dont know if OEM 16s will fit the 205 width

I have not tried these mounts as I currently run custom adjustable upper mounts with uniballs (because I am running stock style springs) on my R56 track car but I can comment on the tires. On my track car ( a 2006 R56) I am running 225-50-16 Falkin tires using stock 16" rims have had no fitment issues even with 2.5° negative camber and lowered about an inch.

We have a local guy running these and they are not harsher, pretty close to stock, he is on stock suspension.

The durometer of the rubber and its our design, i dont see anyone else offering these in this form. Also those factory mounts used to be more money and slowly the aftermarket price dropped down to very low levels due to high failure. Much like the Gen 1 MINI mounts also.
