I’ve got a P1237 code and Engine management. This comes when the car idles, or letting the revs drop. I’ve changed the Inlet Manifold Sensor, Thermostat MAP sensor is coming tomorrow. However tried the thermostat MAP sensor out of the wife’s R50 (same P/N) and no difference. I’ve check the connection of the vacuum lines and they all seem good. Injectors are pretty much new and they don’t stay open. So unsure what’s going on.

Trying to get this sorted asap to get it on the road.

I would do a smoke test if I had the equipment on hand but I don’t so any other ideas would be great. I do have ISTA on a laptop if this will help narrow the issue down.

I’ve read this thread earlier, I had a spare loom sitting around, I've crimped better condition plugs on the TMAP/MAP and Fuel Tank Breather Valve. Still idling like a panting dog. If I rev it and then let it drop, it tries to die or just flat out dies.

I’ve already tried a second MAP sensor by the thermostat. So not expecting any changes when the new one arrives tomorrow. And TMAP on the Manifold has been replaced also.

Ive cranked the engine over with injectors out to see that they’re firing right and seems to be A-OK along with the new spark plugs I’ve just put in BRK7s.

UPDATE:

Codes Present:

P0107 - Absolute pressure in intake manifold - barometric pressure - input low.
P0113 - Intake Air temperature - input high.
P1237 - Pressure Sensor, Intake manifold before compressor - input low.

codes clear restart the engine and they aren’t present for about 10 seconds and it starts juddering again. Revs only start to change drastically after revving.

 

vacuum leak or sensor error. just a guess from owning two minis over the last 10 years

questions:

are you running stock sensors?
did you try a smoke test yet?
