Does it not have a Transmission Clutch Pilot Bearing?

2010 R55 JCW manual transmission. I have my complete clutch kit and other parts I’m swapping out while I have the transmission out of the Mini. I’ve not pulled the transmission as of yet. Still have a few parts I want to upgrade.

ummm? Question…. Doesn’t the Mini use a clutch pilot bearing aka pilot bushing because I’m unable to locate a part number. The Mini Dealership Part department doesn’t show a part number nor do other aftermarket parts places.

Does the Mini not use one?

^^^What njaremka said. It's the primary reason it's so aggravating reinstalling the transmission. The first time I changed the clutch on my '04,it took me and a friend almost two hours to mate up the transmission. The second time I changed the clutch, it took only me 10 minutes to mate up the transmission -- pure luck. Make sure you have a socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt so you can turn it mm by mm to help you align the transmission. Good luck.

Nope. No MINIs have them. Do they line up and wiggle the transmission and it will go back in. The alignment tools help.
