Rear View Mirror Obscured - Top Down?

Nearly a year since I got the car & drove it for the first time with the top down today.

FRM issues & the detached rear window made lowering the top a no go.
Both resolved now, so gave it a shot in our 90°, high humidity Houston summer.

A/C surprisingly gives some benefit when you're moving, but about half the rear view mirror is obscured by the top.
Is this normal, or is my top not going all the way down?

I lowered it via the remote at work, so I didnt watch it operate up close.

I can also say that my vinyl window replacement only had a minor soft fold after 30 minutes on the road. Don't think it would cause a hard crease with a longer drive.

Looks to be about right, only half the view with the top down. But hey, look around you have no top, haha.
Wish Mini could have made it like the Roadster and totally hide the soft top.
