R55 Where To buy That HPFP?
Where To buy That HPFP?
Hey Hey!
So its about that milage where the dreaded High Pressure Fuel pump (HPFP) may start to act up, I like to prepare for the worst myself and procure one of these expensive pumps. The question is where do I find one? I have seen prices from 150 buck E-Bay specials to glorified golden parts around 2k and even at my shop our cost is around upward to $1500 before mark up! I would like to ask the members of this website. Where did you get your Reliable but cost efficient HPFP? I do not want to waist money on E-bay to only have the pump crap out on me one month later, or spend an extravagant amount of money on this part. I'm willing to settle somewhere in between.
All suggestion are welcome!

I just replaced the one in my R55S, N18 motor about 2 months ago. Bought from FCP Euro. They're local to me (20 miles away), and had a competitive price on a PSA unit, which they advertise as being a "Genuine" quality part - not MINI branded, but supposedly same manufacturer.
They do offer lifetime warranty on their parts, although it's a bit quirky how it works in practice.

Yea, the ebay specials are not that good. Here are some reviews.
