Zip tie used to hold it in place for years until today. The white PTFE or Polypropylene piece keeps sliding out no matter how tight the zip tie is tightened across the white piece or across the metal bracket. Any DIY suggestion before I defer to my Indy guy? TIA.

 

Turns out it is the metal bracket being malleable now flexes towards the handle when it's being pulled. Gonna do some more homework and order a new metal bracket at the same time tonight.
