Changing upper motor mount, change transmission mount too?

2016 F55 MCS Automatic - soon to be Stage 2

I'm in the middle of changing the upper motor mount and intercooler now. Should I be changing the transmission mount while the upper motor mount is disconnected? I read someplace (or maybe I made it up) that changing the transmission mount is much easier with the upper motor mount disconnected becasue you have more wiggle room with the engine.

I'll be doing a stage 2 tune in a few weeks probably, if that makes any difference.

Easier just to do both as the same time, especially if you are putting down some serious HP/TQ.

Thanks for the response. OK, sounds like I'm doing both. I hate redoing work.

While I have you here, I'm was planning on putting in the power flex yellow inserts into the upper engine mount. With stage 2 level power, would I be better off putting in the black inserts or will the mount last with just the yellow inserts? It's a daily driver car. I have the yellow insert in the lower engine mount already. A long time ago I tried the black insert in the lower engine mount and I got a lot of shaking, I assumed that was just from the stiffer insert, but looking back maybe my upper mount was already destroyed so it was vibrating more than normal with the black insert.

Thanks! I got the the intercooler I'm putting in from you guys!

Yellow, the black is pretty sturdy and might cause a little more engine feedback, if its a track car do the black. Daily do the yellow.

Glad to help and thanks for the orders.
