Replacing the Vacuum Harness with rubber lines causing low boost?

The shop replaced the Vacuum Harness (11-65-7-570-465) with rubber lines now I only see 17lbs instead of 21 as before. Would the replacement rubber lines cause that?

thats why they replaced the OEM lines with vacuum rubber tubes

I have a theory that the thin tubing they used is collapsing under vacuum and therefore not keeping the waste gate closed.

May be worth contacting ESC Tuning. They seem to be quite responsive to customers.

Yes, you want those lines to be vacuum tubing. They don't have to be the OEM tubes, but they should be rated for vacuum use. If they aren't vacuum hoses, they can compress under operation and cause issues.

Yep vacuum use. It has to be robust and keep shape.

I decided my boost was there , under the right conditions, so I have not installed the OEM line for now. However I do have it and it is very robust

21lbs of boost! I only get around 18.5 on good days with my S - stage 2 RPM. I chased this issue before and replaced my vacuum line with a new genuine line and still couldn't get north of 20. It did improve from 17 with the replacement but I am still on my original turbo so maybe wastegate issue? I have the update DV but the car is an auto. I wonder if auto and manual have different boost thresholds (ECU)?

Any other areas to look at?

the non stock tubing came off. I need to replace it with the factory item. Where do the lines attached to? I cannot find any drawings showing the attachment points

I can confirm that using anything other than the stock lines or hard lines will result in lines collapsing and boost being reduced or cut off completely. I used some red vacuum lines a while back to replaced a cracked line and anything over 10psi would cause them to almost fold in half.
I thought it was a problem caused by something else until I recorded a video under the hood while driving. I replaced the lines with OEM lines and my boost was back. I would caution anyone considering replacing their lines to only use OEM.

So, it was the worn wastegate that was causing you the issue.......
