parting out a vehicle

I will be parting out a R59 soon (I know this is the R56 forum but it gets more traffic than the R58/59) . Other than the body parts I need, the rims and the engine/trans are there any suggestions on what else I should remove?

Sorry, forgot to mention brakes and exhaust. Putting them on mine.

I think you should post what parts you will NOT be selling.

Some things including body parts could be like the headlights and stuff. not sure if you would be selling these or not. That's my thoughts

I don't need anything from the interior. (Sorry, forgot the driver side seat belt to get rid of warning) Center console is buggered up.

It has the HK audio system. Is it worth taking any of that out? To my knowledge the amp appears to need replacing. Not sure if the speakers are anything special or not. Radio or gauges?

Also, all the electronic modules, which are worth it and where are they located? I have what I think is the DME out of the engine compartment. I think one is behind the "secret" compartment on the passenger side, one is in the passenger side floor board, drivers side sidewall.

Are any of the wiring harness worth it?

I don’t get it, you need to keep 90% of the parts that you’re parting out. So what is the point of selling parts here?

If anyone needs anything I am not using, before I haul the "shell" to the scrap yard, I wanted to sell them cheap. I did buy the car for a reason. I guess that is what a guy gets for trying to be nice these days. Once I am done, I will sell the whole rear section of the car for whatever the scrap yard will give me if someone wants that.

Curious as to what seat are installed. Might be looking to make things more comfortable for my passenger in the r53.

They are light tan or caramel. Would need some good cleaning/restoration.

I will see if I can take a couple later today.
Pics are from the auction page. Not enough room to take pics in my garage.

If those were black I’d be interested. Thanks for the pics though.

No problem. I don't care for the tan either. Thanks for the interest. If you think of anything else, let me know. I would be happy to meet you half way at Dayton. Always like putting faces to names (other than pictures)

JCW brakes, black lounge leather, and aluminum rear trailing arms are all on my wish list 😁 I’m already rocking the poor man jcw upgrade, if you’re wondering.

I will be when everything is back together. I will have the Aero body parts, JCW brakes. I am debating on the turbo or not. If I rebuild the JCW engine, I will leave it with it. If I don't, I will use it and sell the engine less the turbo.

The R112 rims will be a good addition as well once they are refurbished. That will also dictate when I put the JCW brakes on as I only have 16" rims otherwise.
