Headlight Vertical Aim Control Module

I am trying to locate the Headlight Verical Aim Control Module. I have an 06 MCS parts car but the module is not behind the glove box as the Bentley shows.

I am troubleshooting the headlight bounce on my base 03. I’ve swapped the entire headlights and the suspension modules with no effect.

.

here are some pics of where it should be and what it looks like. I do t have a purple plug behind the glove box of my parts car either.

I’ll ask the stupid question. Does the parts car have halogens?

It had Xenon’s in it. My son took them for his late 04 and they work in there. I just pulled the glove box on the 03 and there is a module there. I’ll pull the glove box from my 06 and see if there is a module to try. This is really frustrating me.

Is it possible a previous owner swapped a set of xenons onto a halogen car, maybe?

It’s possible. Now that I know where it is (found the one in my Justa) I’ll look harder.

I really don't know much but...
Just curious; Did you upgrade your 03 pre-facelift headlights to facelift projectors?
If so - and they were from the 06 parts car, You might want to inspect the wiring inside of those buckets. The wiring is notorious for crumbling and chafing over the years.
Like I state - "I don't know much"...but it might be worth a look if all else fails?

I just looked in my 06 with xenon’s and no module. It must be a prefacelift module. I ordered a replacement and hope it fixes my issue. Will report if it does.

I ended up pulling the connector off of the module and putting it back together. No more headlight bounce. I guess I have a bad input form the BCM.
