How to upgrade the HU and keep the NAV voice ['04 MCS]

That's my 'big question'.

I want to replace the HU in my '04 MCS (HK and Sat NAV) and keep the voice from the NAV. All I want to gain is a CD unit that will accept MP3/WMA discs. Not really interested in adding the AUX jack and connecting an additional device (iPod/whatever)

Anyone do this yet?

Has it been tried and met with 'no success'?

Are there specific recomendations for head units that are known to work?

I've searched the forum and can not seem to locate a thread on this subject.

Regards
MINI Steve

There is an interface to get the nav voice working with non hK minis, but with HK the voice shouts at you.

One solution would be hard wiring the interface in to the drivers speakers speaker wire

Or you could use a phone kit speaker for the nav voice

Can you point me more specifically to which kits you are referring please? (phone kit and non H/K kit)
