MY research indicates:
18-10-0-395-483 pre-facelift 2002-2004 prior to 1/2004 production date with inside muffler hangers pointed to rear
18-10-0-301-874 after 1/2004 production date with inside muffler hangers pointed sideways
18-20-7-545-128 2005+ with bend and flat area near rear "Y" area to accommodate clearance for extra R52 convertible chassis bracing

ECSTuning, is the non-flattened 2004 version of the JCW exhaust Y-pipe still available, either OEM or aftermarket from any source?
-- or has the flattened version superseded for all?

Some parts we superseded to the only parts that is available. Look at the OEM part number. That's all that's left. For aftermarket their is no match to match on JCW, closest would be milltek cat back systems.

What they do is use both hanger designs in one, they also have a system for the R52 Convertible.

 

To my knowledge the pre 1/2004 JCW exhaust is NOT available new. However, I’ve been told you can utilize the other two versions by modifying the inside


hangers (bending).
I actually have a used one for sale if interested.

yep you can do that to work.
