I have a 2014 r57 convertible s with the Harman kardon speaker system and the right rear woofer has failed. What's involved with replacing it? And are there any other alternatives to OEM that are known to be drop in replacements?

Rear side panel and pop that out, if i remember right you cant get it on the convertible r57 with just the speaker cover, see if you can get it from the cover. The R57 with H/K acuatlly has two speakers, a woofer and a tweeter system in each panel.

Does the circular cover on the woofer speaker just pop loose from the front?

Looking at it again with used pieces, it has 6 of those clips on each side. Might be better just to remove the whole panel.

Ah, so there's 6 tabs inside/under the round cover. I can't tell from the 2nd picture if they release inward (which might allow release from the front) or outward (which would require access from the reverse. I'll see if the thin spudgers I've got let me get any kind of release on them from the front.

Because otherwise it's "seats out"?
