Blow Off/Diverter valve changed noises out of the blue

My 2013 Mini Cooper S's blow off noise has seemingly out of the blue. At low rpms, it's much quieter, and at higher rpms instead of one "pshhh", it flutters, and is a little higher pithed. I also hear it building boost much louder now, and it builds it all the way to 19, almost 20 lbs which it never did before. I bought it used with mods on it including an exhaust, performance air filter, and I believe a new BOV, which I will soon be looking at when I find time. If anyone could tell me why it suddenly changed, if I need a new valve or if I can fix it, and how damaging it is to drive like this (it is my only form of transportation) I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Could be the old DV itself. The diagrams on the older design can tear and throw a CEL. It can be that or the DV getting stuck on the spacer? Do you have a spacer or anything added on. Their is a newer design.

I figured it out I think. Intake tube was completely broken where it connects to the turbo.

Yep, you are lucky it did not ingest the tube and blow the turbo.

Should be this design on the 2013
