Just had AdrianCL tune my car
Today I was finally able to have AdrianCL tune my R53 for me. It’s been a long road to get here lol. I actually found this website from one of the users on this page YouTube video. In the comments he mentioned a tune from Adrian. His car was running strong so it looked like a good option. At that point I was struggling to find a tuner for my car. Everything was either just a canned tune, or the companies were way to far from TN. So I started googling AdrianCl and it brought me here.
The whole process took him about 2 hours most of that was installing all of the software for the cables. Once the software was installed the actual tune was done in about 40 minutes give or take.
The car starts like it did with the JCW file, idles very well given it has a cam. Pulls extremely well, my wideband is acting up so I can’t confirm AFR yet. This car again feels great. I can’t say enough about Adrian he walks you through everything and will answer any questions promptly. He also bumped my Rev limit where I wanted it etc etc.
this was not only cheaper, but a way better outcome than a canned tune. I highly recommend it. Only thing I suggest if you’re going to do it, get with him have him send you link for the cables. Order them ahead of time. It took about 2 1/2 weeks for one of them to ship to me!
My car 2006 JCW
mods
WMW 17% Pulley
Newman PH2 cam
Bosh 550CC injectors
Miltek Catless header
DDM intake
JCW catback
Hobo intercooler with Diverter kit

You've joined the club of happy customers! Not only here but on Euro FB "clubs". I dislike FB in any form but surprised how many posting show a connection with Adrian (nastase adrian) in common...
Yes, I think it would be impossible to find a fault with the service I received. My wife is wanting an R56 to go to cruises with me. Once we have it, he will for sure get the repeat business!
I have also been looking around for one for my wife so I ran that by him while he was doing my tune. Killed 2 birds with one stone lol.

I agree, I should have that up and running Thursday when it warms up a tad. I think my sensor needs calibrated again.
He did my car too, I got a TPR2-r big valve head, cam, injectors, RMW headers, pulley and blah blah blah... Car runs great, super happy with my tune and Adrian's service. I got an AFR gauge afterwards and my tune is spot on. Cannot recommend him enough.
Tuned by Adrian!
I just had my 2006 MCS tuned by Adrian CL. I have to tell you, I was super skeptical about the whole thing. I really didn't like the idea of having a guy I don't know anything about remote into my personal computer to do this job. But at this point this was the missing piece to complete my build so I took a leap of faith and risked it and boy was I glad I did. I chatted with Adrian for a few days leading up to the remap and realized my perception on this guy was all wrong. He's actually a great dude. He's very knowledgeable and was receptive to any questions I had for him. On tuning day he tapped in to my computer and had the whole process completed within 90 mins. The entire job was done before payment was ever made on my end. If you need a tune on your R50-R53 this is "THE GUY". I highly recommend him. I found that the best way to communicate with him is through Facebook. Look up Nastase Adrian and send him a PM. Let him know Rudy H from Texas referred you! I have included a list of the mods I had made on my MINI leading up to the remap. Hope you guys find this helpful and as always Happy Motoring!

Great thread!
Is it recommended to tune as you mod or wait until you're "done" (if there is such a thing) and tune then?
My engine mods are:
DDM Works intake
17% pulley
380cc injectors
DT bypass valve
Milltek catback exhaust (resonated)
stock head/cam
I have an A/F gauge yet to install (and boost gauge and ATI damper) and would prefer to have that functioning for the tune but I intend to install a header in the next few months or so. I'm not sure it is worth the effort to install the wideband O2 sensor on my stock manifold only to have to do it again when I get the header.
I already have the hardware recommended by Adrian for my computer as I contacted him months ago in anticipation of tuning, so at this point, all I need to do when I'm ready to tune is contact him again and get it arranged.
Also, what is the tuning process like? I work closely with a dyno shop and their process is 1) pull the stock file, 2) install initial tune 3) make a pull 4) adjust tune and rinse/repeat steps 3 and 4 until it's dialed in. Is it like that?

I don't have too many mods on my R53. Just: 15% pulley, CAI, 380 cc injectors, step colder plug, stock (pre-facelift) '04 ECU.
He tuned my Mini about a year ago.
After connecting cables to my OBD and PC, Adrian connected to my PC via WiFi. and virtually took over from there.
He'll ask you to perform some simple things like holding rpms and revving the engine while making the adjustments to the ECU from his end.
My whole tuning process took about 1hr and 45min....due to my location and crappy 4G WiFi signal from my phone.
Car ran pretty well afterwards. But now running a bit rich again

^^^ I bought both of my adapters from eBay sellers with both of those items no longer listed. OTOH, other sellers on Amazon do show stock, noting it's the MPPS V18 tool that Adrian primarily needs to interface with his INPA software file vs the other included items. If he hasn't already, he'll send you a file link to download to your computer in advance, then he'll install that file remotely at beginning of the tuning session. You might PM him to confirm that any (or all) of these listings that include the V18 tool are suitable:
