Every Breath...R53 Catch Can - Valve Cover outlet

I am replacing my PCV with a new OEM and and will be installing a Catch Can on my '04 pre-facelift R53.
The installation is pretty straight forward. However I do have a question with regards to the second vent tube outlet on the left side (driver side), of the valve cover.
I've read that some modders disconnect this outlet and cap off the outlet/spout and the hose....

disconnect and cap or just leave it as is?

Any reason to cap it off or should I just not be concerned and leave it connected?
If disconnecting and capping is recommended; What have you used/method to cap off both outlet and hose?
Advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Well waddaya-know; the "advanced search feature" here on NAM actually pulled up the previous threads I had read, (2wo years ago), discussing catch can installation.
A fair amount of information for and against/(unnecessary). Enough for me to form a decision.
