Help me understand the shadow/black line rear lighting kits

I want to change my rear lights to the blackline kit I've seen online, but there seem to be a variety of different kits available. I'm finding it hard to work out what bits each kit comes with and how much of it will end up being useful on my car. What should I be looking for? I've got a 2013 factory JCW roadster.

And I'm trying to tally them up to what's actually on offer.
It just gives the option of LCI / pre-LCI 'retrofit' (I don't know what retrofit means here, or why the other option isn't considered the same)
I've looked up part codes but it's not consistent which kits match up to which photos, and some of them are listed as no longer available whilst some still seem to be...
All I want to find is the cheapest way of buying the light cluster and the side indicator. I'm not too fussed about the surrounds as I'd rather keep the chrome. Anyone able to tell me exactly what I'm looking for?
