I think your price is spot on, although I am not familiar at all with your local market. Miles are on the low side, you have the Sport package, AUX input jack, MFSW and Lapis Blue leather. You have a very sweet combo there as long as an interested buyer is not hell bent on the sunroof and the automatic A/C
. Hopefully you don't have any dings, dents, fender benders or any other errors on that baby.To have a better idea on your asking price, you may want to check www.kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) and www.edmunds.com TMV Used car values.
I am also selling my '04 MCS as my '05 MCS should be here sometime in March.
Congrats on your new MINI and good luck with the sale!
Thanks for the feedback.
No dings, dents, scratches, or benders of any kind on this baby. It spends 99% of it's time in either my garage or in a secure garage at my office. It rarely sees a parking lot, so there has been little opportunity to be dinged. It was just thoroughly detailed, so it's as shiny and clean as the day it was born!
I will miss the electric blue. My new MINI is an all pepper white MC CVT. (Yes, I'm going from a MCS to a MC.)

Additional info:
The "in service" date for warranty purposes is Jan. '03, so there are two full years left on the warranty.

Is January a terrible month to sell a used car?
I'm not getting a lot of interest for a car that I think is fairly priced. Is there anyone here who has actually sold a car this month?
I'm picking up my '05 on Friday. Looks like I'm going to have two MINIs. Guess that's not a bad thing.

I think your problem is that it's January. If you can hold out for Spring I would, but obviously it's not easy to carry two payments. The other problem is that the market is flooded with 02 and 03 MCS's.

Still available
This beautiful MCS is still available. I haven't put any effort into selling it, because I love it so much, but I have four cars, so one has to go. Fly over from California on Southwest and drive home. I'll pick you up at the airport.
I hope this isn't the only place you're advertising this car. Most readers of this site already have a Mini so they probably aren't the people you need to reach.
I suggest a run-til-it-sells ad on an internet site like cars.com or autotrader.com. The autotrader site probably gets more traffic but the cars site serves as the online car classifieds for most of the major metropolitan newspapers in this country. You can always put an ad on both sites to get wider exposure.
fwiw, I think your price is fine -- it just takes time to sell a car, unless you're willing to just give it away...

The car is advertised on cars.com. Here's the link for anyone interested:

This site must get nearly no traffic because it has generated very little buzz for my car. I think it's fairly priced, and I'm in no hurry, so I'll just wait it out.

Depends who your audience is. There are lots of people looking for parts, etc. in the marketplace but not many looking for cars. Not even ones that are good deals. You can browse the marketplace for previous posts and see for yourself.
Let me clarify ... I meant Cars.com doesn't get much traffic. Sorry I wasn't more clear. I know NAM gets a lot of traffic, because I'm on it several times a day. And I suspect I'm not the only one.
I know most NAM'ers already own a MINI, but not all. I was here long before my bought my first MINI. By the time I got my MSC, I was an expert on MINIs. I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!
