Hi all,

My dealership recently informed me of cracks in the water pump pulley wheel and some worn out hoses. Is this something I can repair myself? Is there a recall on such stuff?

The outer circumference of the water pump pulley is made of rubber which can age and start to crack. I don't know how big of an issue it is since mine is also starting to crack but seems to still be working fine. Complete failure of the rubber could mean the pump would stop working since the rubber is used as a friction interface, interacting with an idler pulley that is driven by a friction interface with the alternator/AC belt.
