F54 '17 Clubman S All 4 headlight/drl/foglight upgrade
Hey all,
Im new to this forum, not new to Mini's, but I am seeking some help. Ive read through some of the other threads regarding headlight/drl/foglight bulb upgrades, but they all appear to be a couple years old.
Wondering if there is anyone out there that has upgraded the halogen bulbs to LED or to some other form of bulb that is brighter and better for driving at night. I love driving at night, and my early morning commute to work requires my headlights and fog lights to be turned on so I can see.
I recently purchased a '17 S All 4 Clubman about 6 weeks ago and I love the car, but I don't love the stock light bulbs.
I saw on a previous thread that a user upgraded to LED Bulbs and then purchased an OBDLink CX and used the bimmercode.app to remove any of the lights on the dashboard and I wanted to know if this was a common and reliable fix?
Im looking at getting some Sylvania bulbs to replace the H4 low beam/high beam and some Sylvania H8's for the for light replacement.
The other question that I have is related to the DRL. Are those separate bulbs that would also need to be replaced or is that the same bulb as the H8?
I'm still learning the ins and outs of this specific model. Previously owned a Gen 1 Cooper S and a Gen 2 Countryman and both of those came with the Xenon headlights so I never needed to do this.
Appreciate any leads or information that can be provided!
Thanks very much!
