Stuttering R52

Morning all!

I have a 2008 r52 S. Recently it has started to stutter, like it wasn't getting gas. This is an intermittent issue. Doesn't always happen.
What are some possible issues and what are the fixes?
My 1st guess is that the fuel pump is going bad, replacing is the fix. I would also replace the fuel filter at the same time.
Bad fuel filter?
Bad gas?
I am not so sure of the last two possible scenarios as I mentioned the stuttering is intermittent and comes at unpredictable times.
Thanks in advance for any comments and or solutions!

Could be a MAP or TMAP going bad. From what I have seen many have had sucess with replacing the TMAP, only use a factory sensor. Aftermarket only cause more issues.

Mine just started stalling randomly coming to a stop at low speeds...in either 1st or 2nd with clutch engaged. Just losing RPMs. Might be a different issue than yours, if yours is stuttering at speed.

Mine used to do that and it was the fuel pump. Check your fuel pressure.

Thanks - yeah, I have a service appointment coming up anyway for some minor things (random seatbelt and airbag warnings) and adding this to the list. Does indeed look like a fuel pressure issue.

@Bobbyg24 Do you have access to a code scanner? Preferably one that reads BMW-specific codes. Knowing what, if any, codes are present usually helps.

So...fuel pressure was fine...my problem (stalling at low speeds) is clutch-related. I guess 151k miles on original clutch was pretty good!

Am going to probably sell it on CL "as is" with all major items addressed in services the last two years (everything except key fobs work fine)....just not worth it to put the quoted dollars into a new clutch for me given I just drive it for fun around town.
