Might sound silly, but are the batteries brand new fresh from the store??
Or found somewhere in a drawer.

Another thing to try, sit in car with ignition on, and remove and replace battery while inside car.

I’ve had mine not recognize the key fob twice now. 3 month old car. Just replaced the battery today. Hope that takes care of it.

Of course, that was the first thing the dealer suggested. Good news is that it is still under warranty, so if it does it again, I'll have to pay them a visit.

Have the same issue after having the windshield replaced… could it be a problem with the receiver? I read conflicting information on its location, some say rear view mirror others in the back on the passenger side. It’s a F56 from 2014… anyone know? Thanks!
