I have a 2016 F56 JCW.
my sat nav won't boot up, I have done a map update reload which has not fixed the problem.
anyone else experienced problems with the computer? And if so what was the fix?
the issue also affects the phone connection.

 

Did you install bootleg version? I had similar issue with FSC code conflict so needed new FSC code to make it work.
Basically map was installed but it was not authorizing due to FSC code issue but all other functions were working fine.

Dealer can wipe out install new software but it'll install everything that came with the car. it will wipe out all other things you installed (car play, newer map, etc.)

 

If you modify the VO in E-Sys, then the dealers computer will read the VO options and recode accordingly.
I was worried when I bought a Irius XM FSC code from a coder out here, he bought it from a dealer in China for 1/2 what we pay in the US.
He coded the VO.
Dealer recoded car twice after, and FSC remained.
