plugged in my dongle & went in to Bimmerlink.looked at RESET, & it said my Fr. Brakes were 1 & R. Brakes were 6. what is the no.range ? 1-10 ?

 

I have to laugh at myself, 6 is obviously the end-range #. looks like I've still got 3-4 mm still on there & my sensor light hasn't gone off yet - but I'm ready w/ sensor & red stuff pads. they'll be the 2nd set of pads on the back of the car since JCW brakes were put all the way around.

 

Back in my 1st career as a brake and front end tech for Cadillac.
People who constantly needed rear brakes were called "draggers" (light early braking to the red light)
People who constantly needed front brakes were called "slammers" (Heavy late braking to the red light)

 

yeh, I'm a "coaster" ! a gearbox man. I see alot of non-drivers on the road. I think.they went JCW about 33K with MC semi-metallic pads, I'm about to turn 43K & going ceramic. the Fr. were replaced once w/semi-met.s I think so long time 'til they go ceramic. the rears are on the scedule.
